Someone was watching over us this morning in Elizabeth. We managed to dodge the rain. It rained on the way to set up, stopped while we were there and rained, again, after we packed up.
It's so great how the community can come together.

Being Volunteer Week I would like to thank all of my amazing volunteers. Without there help and support Cos would not be where we are today.
Tonight, I was honoured by being one of 64 nominees across 5 categories. I was 1 of 5 finalist for the Joy Noble Medal in SA Volunteer of the Year Awards - amongst some very inspiring and deserving fellow finalists.
Unfortunately, I didn't win the award but I have gained so much from the team of volunteers that I have. They are all Stars.

Happy Mothers Day, everyone.
We had an amazing morning in the city today. A lady came with some fresh biscuits and meringue she had made. She had even made some carnation flowers for the ladies. Another lady that comes for help arrived with a box of chocolates with which she went to every lady and offered them one.
I love it when everyone comes together, giving back to the community. From struggling to look after everyone with 4 or 5 volunteers to today having 21 of us. Sure the number of people has grown that we look after but it gives us more chance to communicate with people.
